RHS OrchestraThe Roswell High School Orchestra has a rich history in outstanding music performance as a full orchestra and string orchestra. Students are passionate about sharing their musicianship with the community at evening art events, local charities, business partners, retirement homes, and at other local area schools. In addition to concert performances, orchestra students have the opportunity to serve as conductors.

Who We Are |
Currently there are four orchestras at Roswell High School.: Freshman Orchestra, Sinfonia Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra.
Our students have been chosen to perform with the Georgia High School All State Orchestra, Statewide Honor Orchestra, Fulton County Honor Orchestra, National Association for Music Education All National Honors Orchestra and High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall . Individual members of the Roswell High School Orchestra have participated in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Buckhead Youth Orchestra, Ludwig Symphony Orchestra, and Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra. |
Our History |
The RHS Orchestras have performed at the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. in 2012, Festival Disney in 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2022, the American String Teachers Association’s National Orchestra Festival in 2012, and at the Royal College of Music in London in 2014. In 2014, they received the Exemplary Performance Award from the Georgia Music Educators Association and have consistently received Superior Ratings at Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE).
The Chamber Orchestra has performed at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) In-Service Conference in Savannah, Georgia in 2008 and 2012 and at the prestigious Midwest Clinic, an International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago, Illinois, in December 2015. |
