The orchestra's winter concert is in one day! The students have prepared hard for this concert and cannot wait to preform. The 8th grade orchestras from Crabapple and Elkins Point Middle School will be playing to songs with the Freshman Orchestra. I hope you can stop by and listen to some of your favorite holiday songs! We will be playing songs like the Grinch, The Nutcracker, Sleigh Ride with the full orchestra, and more!
The Roswell Orchestra program is off to a great start this year! We're looking forward to our Fall Concert on September 29, our annual Spooktacular with middle school students in October, and we're excited to have lots of our students preparing for Solo & Ensemble performances, and All State auditions. Watch this space for updates, and scroll to the bottom of the page to find links to our social media accounts.
We have enjoyed celebrating our amazing 45 seniors this year! We have several students going into music from this class and are so excited for all of them! Congratulations to Josh Kinoshita for receiving the National School Orchestra Award! Michael Collier, Zoe Nixon, and Josh Kinoshita received the Bobby Moody Scholarship this year to further their musical journeys in college! Congratulations to all out graduates! Roswell Orchestra will miss you!
We hope everyone had a fantastic Winter Holiday break, and is ready for a wonderful spring semester! We have a lot to prepare for this semester - hosting LGPE at Roswell, our Disney trip, and our seniors' final hurrah, just to name a few! Look for upcoming emails with information about how you can be involved, upcoming spirit nights, and more. As we start the semester in remote learning mode, it's important to keep up with your personal practice time. Also, consider a COVID test if you've been traveling, have symptoms, or know you've been exposed to someone with COVID. We look forward to seeing everyone in person next week!
See you Monday, August 9!
